Firework legislation is my speciality
I have worked within the UK firework industry for almost 20 years, and for 18 of those as a consultant to firework importers and retailers. I advise on all aspects of firework importation, compliance testing, transportation, storage and sale.
A very large part of my work is close liaison with enforcement agencies including UK Government, Police, Fire Services, Trading Standards; for the latter I have successfully acted as "expert" witness in cases for them.
I am proud to say I am the Chairman of the British Fireworks Association, the trade body which represents the majority of UK firework importers. It is a challenging but very rewarding role. The popularity of fireworks in the UK is immense and has literally boomed over the past two years.
